Millionaire and subject of HBO's documentary "Jinx" Robert Durst, was arrested for the murders of his wife, friend, and neighbor; crimes that date back 15-years. During the taping of the show "Jinx," Durst was talking to himself while using the bathroom and confessed to killing all three victims. Durst was found saying "what the hell did I do? Killed them all of course" according to CNN. This strange bathroom confession is proof that Durst killed three people and killed his chance for a free life. Who could have imagined that a person could be as foolish as to blab a confession? Or could it be that Durst could not handle the pressure any longer? When you apply pressure to a person, what is in them will eventually come out.
Well, it appears as if Durst is the definition of foolish! Not sure how he has gotten away with murder for this long, but secrets have a way of coming out. For Durst, the truth does not set him free and it is about time he pays the price. The justice system seems to have failed in this case and it took the horses mouth to receive a charge with murder. How can a person's spouse disappear and friend be killed, and still receive an acquittal after admitting to dismembering a neighbors body? Not sure if money bought Durst a pardon, but it appears that his crazy behavior finally got the best or perhaps the worst of him. Durst has lived a life of luxury and of lunacy since his mother committed suicide when he was 7. One cannot omit that tragedies at a young age can mess with a child, even when he or she becomes an adult.
The ironic part of this story is the reason behind making the series. Durst was to use the show as a sounding board to tell his side of the story. Looks like his mouth is what got him in trouble at the end. Hopefully the prosecutors get the result that Durst has longed deserved. Perhaps there is such thing as justice of the peace, except it is more like justice of the mouthpiece.
